Keynote Speaker Brings Revolutionary New Approach To Accelerate Economic Development and Predictable Growth To Local Business Communities
Gary Harpst has a unique ability to solve business problems. He has spent his life integrating new ideas and existing best practices to create real-world business improvements.
He began working in his family business at age of 8. Later, he co-founded Solomon Software, which grew to more than 400 employees, serving 60,000 businesses worldwide. Solomon was purchased by a competitor and ultimately Microsoft. Later Gary established another company, Plumbline Solutions, as a joint project with Microsoft.
In 2000, Gary founded Six Disciplines, with the goal of revolutionizing strategy execution coaching in small and midsized businesses.
Gary was recently named to the Excellence 100, the top 100 thought leaders in leadership and management, by Leadership Excellence magazine.
Gary is the author of the award-winning book Six Disciplines for Excellence, and his latest book, Six Disciplines Execution Revolution, was named a bestseller by The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, and BusinessWeek.
“Columbus ranks seventh in the nation among large metropolitan areas for its number of “high-impact” companies, those that produce both significant revenue growth and expanding employment,” said Harpst. “Yet only 3% (2.43 percent) of the Columbus’ 82,810 businesses are considered to be high-impact. Why does it only have to be 3%? And perhaps more importantly, what are we going to do about accelerating growth for the other 97 percent of businesses here in Columbus? That’s specifically what I’ll be revealing at our Economic Acceleration Tour event on December 10,” added Harpst.
The book details the elements of a complete strategy execution program, clarifies why it could only have happened now, and explains why such a program will soon become a mainstream requirement for all successful businesses in the future.
